I've been wanting to do this build for several years. There are only a few in the country that i know of. I came across a donor cab for my project this weekend.

I'm going to remove the cab and bed from my 97 v6 extracab automatic and replace it with the cab from the 2001 v6 doublecab prerunner.

I found a 2001 doublecab with 200k. The interior and entire truck are in excellent condition. My 97 I'll be swapping it on to is cherry with about 70k original miles. It's supercharged with fuel mods.

    Let the fun begin....

DC slammed looks pretty sweet, almost looks even longer. Something about the shallow bed helps with that presentation.

I have a 2-4" lowered double cab and while it aligns well the bump steer is bad now because the control arm geometry is not right. I would rather be on a 5 lug chassis for lowering and wheels selection purposes. Good luck!

Should post this over in the 5-lug and/or street truck forum, they'd be jealous.

Woah. It's interesting. I've never seen a double cab like that. Here in Houston, Texas, dropped trucks are a popular style. They look pretty cool cruising around the city, and often have speed performance mods. Like this one
