Usage, cleanliness and climate conditions are a big factor. We had 3.0s, the ride changed around 30-something thousand miles and saw some wetness on the shock around 50k miles. We rebuilt it at that point. Some people just rebuild every X number of miles.

That truck saw washboards and whoops at such high speeds that it broke our Decked system and the mounting rails of our CVT RTT so that truck saw some shit. She wasn’t a pavement queen, those King 3.0s made rough roads comfortable.

Shit wish i saw this sooner lol. In 2013 me and Chad went to a junkyard and pulled leaf packs from a 2500 HD Chevy truck. Slapped those mofos on my stock packs and it's been kosher ever sense. It was a popular mod back in the early 2010s. No clue why it fell out really.

Only spent like 60$ lol and my truck is LOADED and i still have a rake.

It's a joke they dont make it like a stud instead of that shit that strips. Had my local shop weld a Bolt onto it so it wouldn't do that again. Thats the front diff right?

yep. they have a VERY similar width. Let me dig into my build thread and see if i can find the pic of them.

Alright so i had to go diggging deep. im taking 2013-2014 but i got them.

1st pic is bone stock rear end with my bedrack and old RTT on top. Helllla Sagging

This is after spending 90$ on some junkyard leaf packs. Only needed 2 leaf springs per side. It's settled just a little since then, but 9 years later i still run this setup offroading and keep my present load on it at all time. In 2014, no way i dropped 500$ or whatever they cost nowadays.

Yep, the drain plug. I fought that bitch for a couple hours yesterday and threw the whole kitchen sink at it before it finally rounded out completely.

Went to the local hardware store and found the biggest bolt extractor they had, drilled it out, cut an inch off the extractor bit and hammered it in. Put the torch to it (again) for 5 mins and cranked on it with a cheater bar and it finally gave up.

What a nightmare for such a “would-be” easy part of the job. Picked up a new drain plug from Toyota today and coated it with anti-seize and torqued it to 45 ft-lbs. A tack-welded nut is in the near future, I’m not playing that game again.

If im not mistaken i know on the Lexus forum, apparently their drain plug is an actual nut so they may swap over but yes, a welded nut is the way lol.
