You guys all seem to know way more about wheels and tires than I do so I'm looking for a little help. I have an 07 Sport with stock 17" wheels and dunlop grandtreks that finally need replaced. I'd like to run a bigger, 70 series tire with black rims. I don't plan on putting a lift on it any time soon so I'm really hoping these will work on stock suspension as I don't really know anything about offset or backspacing. Let me know if anyone has done anything similar. Thanks in advance.

    Current setup:
    Stock 17" Sport Wheels
    P265/65/17 Dunlop Grandtrek AT20

    Desired setup:
17x8, Black Rock Series 909B Type D - Satin Matte
    Bolt Pattern - 6 on 5.5
    Backspacing - 4.5"
    Offset - 0
    Center Bore - 4.250

Sorry to bump this but I need to get these ordered quickly, I'm heading out to Colorado for some serious snowboarding and my tires are balder than bald.

Thanks for the response Reepur. I'm not as concerned about the tire difference as I am the wheel difference. 4.5" backspacing should make the tires stick out a little more which I would think would mean less chance of rubbing but I may be thinking backwards.

You will be fine, that's equivalent to me going to 265/75/16's on stock rims (5.5" BS) on mine. Mine will sit in closer, but I am going to add spidertrax 1.25" spacers to bring my BS to bout 4.5"(just for looks). While I do have a lift, I researched it forever and you can fit yours (265/70/17) np. Your talking the same width tire, just 1" bigger diameter.

So Reepur, I should also be able to run a 265/75R16 if I wanted more tire and less wheel right? Basically the 265/70R17 and 265/75R16 are same diameter right? You think either will fit fine on stock suspension? Do you think it would be wise to take it into the local dealership to have them confirm?

    I'm using a 17x8 wheel with 4.5" backspacing.

At stock ride height, you may encounter minor rubbing with that wheel and that size tire. You may need to remove mudflaps and/or trim a little plastic. Many don't however. It's hit or miss.
