Also, picked up the headlights yesterday morning! I'll install when the weather warms up a bit. I'm a bit timid of cold and plastic due to experiences lol

 

Digging this DD project still.
Was looking at a black SE with the brown interior but it sold before I got to it. Thinking might just go for an S and avoid sunroof.
Or might end up with a GTI.

So I haven't had the pano leak, only the door that was clearly damaged from someone else. I do park on a decline so maybe that helps?

Honestly I love the GTI and Golf R but the practicality of a wagon is unmatched. I'll post the large costco haul that was two carts that easily fit in the wagon later lol

 

This haul includes a new office chair for my wife and perhaps something for my office as well…

Got home with an hour of daylight and immediately got to work. Today was the warmest day for the next few weeks so it was the best shot to remove the bumper and grill without breaking any plastic tabs

jacked up the car, took the grill off, and dove right in

went for a test drive and it’s wildly better than stock. I can actually see at night! Now I have to test how they’re aimed abs adjust this week still. Overall so stoked with these!

These are SUPER slick. Plug and play, and I can switch between colors (yellow for crappy weather and snow, white for most of the time).

 

The running lights are soooo good

Two color selectable LED fog lights installed!



Yellow for fog and foul weather



White for daily fogs



You can switch between the colors by toggling the fog lights on and off.

Pretty stoked on this little mod!

 

I love this build! I started in a MKIV Gti, then got a MKVII Golf. I miss the VW world.

Where did you get these bulbs? I would love to have some for my Tacoma.

Car has basically been my fun daily / bike hauler
