Interior Dome Light Keeps Turning On

Anybody with an issue with the interior dome light turning on after you lock your truck? It turns on automatically after a couple of minutes and drains my battery.

 

Are the door sensors working? Are the strikers loose? Are the screws that hold the lock actuator loose?

 

haven’t checked any of those. Door sensors are working fine.

 

How close is your key fob to the truck when you’re storing it

 

When my 21 is locked and I come anywhere near it with the keys in my pocket, the interior lights wake up even before I hit unlock. Thats a proximity feature thats supposed to happen.The keyfob constantly transmits a signal to the truck, but it has to be pretty close for it to work.

So you are saying thats not what’s happening, and your interior lights come on by themselves and stay on long enough to drain battery dead? ?
