You won’t get shocked. The face is about 1/2” thick. You’d have to insert something into it for it to be a hazard. The only pin you gotta really worry about the the small vertical one on the right.

I still don't like putting my bare fingers near there. Electricity give me the heebie-jeebies, and rightfully so.

 

Nothing wrong with that. I’m a sparky so I’m a lot more comfortable working with and around electricity. Always better to be safe, than sorry.

Just thinking we buy our rugs at the same place. I bent the corners under for a bit. The laid flat with a stack of books or whatever on each corner. 5 weeks later rug was nice and flat.

 

Only seen one guy get bit by 277, they carried him out on a stretcher.

He lived but had blisters the size of thumbs coming out of his wrist and forearm were it entered and exited and a nice 10" pink lightning bolt between them looked like it was going to split open there.

Not something I ever want to encounter.

Solid hickory flooring over the weekend:




My hands are so blistered from swinging a mallet I can barely close them! Hickory is weird, but I love it. Just waiting on the nosing for the sunken edges! Gotta paint my riser boards, do some transitions, re-make my door threshold, and then paint walls + trim the entire space. Collecting materials for the wood staircase already.

 

Looks great. id def twist my ankle on the lower level

not “home renovation” but work reno!
A month after starting the bathroom I started renovating my office! That’s why the bathroom took two years lol
