Well first 45 seconds of installing Cali raised sliders on the truck and snapped the bolt stuck in the frame. Anyone know what size it is? B233D064-68AF-48F3-BABE-4F567F42C732.jpg

watch their videos and they probably say what size it is. Otherwise go to your local home depot ace hardware or lowes and get a new grade 8 bolt. Bring another one from caliraised with you and match the size up.

Oh wow. I recently installed CBI bolt-ons and the first step is basically letting the entire thing rest on a single bolt. It felt a bit sketch...

Anyway bad luck, at least it happened in the first 45s rather than after 45m

It depends what size hole is on the frame of the truck. Its either a half inch or a 3/8th. Please send me a PM if you have any other questions!

Were you not jacking the sliders into place for the install?

At least that crossmember bolt is accessible on the backside as well. I would drill through it and through bolt the entire thing. I would find that easier than trying to remove that nub personally.

Is that crossmember also welded? If so I'd just skip it all together if it were my truck. That little bolt doesn't add much support for the sliders.

I believe it also has factory rivets holding it in place

I also snapped that bolt off when installing my sliders. I ended up having a local shop knock the welded nut out with an air hammer (rather than try to extract the bolt) and then simply replaced the bolt and nut. Cost me a few bucks at the local Ace, and the shop owner did the work in exchange for a six-pack of IPA.

Nope, unless you count a hip thrust as a jack.

Well I took y’all’s advice and just said screw it. I installed the sliders without messing with the bolt. I think it went well I’ll post pictures of the final install tomorrow.

Have you tried a left handed drill bit?

I’d spray it with penetrating oil and try a left handed drill bit. The heat from the drilling, plus the torque, usually gets them loose and backs them out.
