The dump is just where I go to weigh betty because you weigh on your way in and your way out. So I always go with a full tank of gas so I can get consistent weights of her. Since that last IG post she has gained 240 lbs. The heavier wheels, heavier (beefier) front suspension, rear platform with fridge, tools and spare fluids, little stuff like that that has added up.

That was a joke about throwing Betty away at the dump. Poor execution on my part

“Wow, cool $45 battery terminal covers Randy.” Said no one ever. These were a waste of money. They’re well made but idk what I was thinking ordering them.

I ended up throwing them away, I couldn’t get the negative terminal cover to sit tight in any fashion because of the battery design. Didn’t leave a lip on the front of the terminal for the cover to grab onto.

Waste of $45. Or most expensive fabric rings that sit under the terminals.

Thats a bummer. It also might have been a slight design oversight for battery terminal covers to have the top of the terminal exposed

Those the SDHQ deals? I went to get another set for the Jeep and was stunned that their newest version is over twice the price. Pass.

The covers or the terminals? Covers should just pop on.

Yeah I paid $82 shipped for the terminals (which included the compression lug) and the extra body ground. Now you’re looking at $170 plus shipping for all of that. Granted the terminal covers are included now with no way to opt out but still, those are only $35 on their own so you’re looking at $145 shipped for what I paid $82.

I think I'll make do with what Jeep provided. A winch may be the only thing to cause me issues.

They look really nice. Even if you had to buy a hydraulic crimper to get all the wires setup you’re still spending less money than SDHQ and then you’ve got a crimper at the end of it.
