    "The maintenance shop is more than fixing equipment it seems." -- :amen: I always thought "service" was more accurate than maintenance.

    If it was anything not directly production related the floor people came to me.
    I just fixed things: tools, machines, people, situations, whatever came in the door -- I didn't interrogate people, belittle them, reprimand them, document them or make them feel stupid, I just fixed their problems and sent them on their way.

    I was also the only first aid person, the emergency response person and the 911 caller -- the funny part of this is that I have never had a first aid course in my life. :laugh:

    You know times have changed when you walk away from an interchange in a store for example genuinely impressed that the employee knew their job and could help you.
    We have gone to seed as a society it seems.
