I’m trying to sell headlights out of my truck… never been in an accident and I am the original owner. Why does it have these headlights in it instead of Toyota? Bought in 2019 model year 2019

May have been transit or lot damage fixed by the dealer. They have no obligation to report such repairs.

My cousin used the unplug the speedo cable, drive 50 miles to see his GF, drive back home and plug it in. My uncle used to lose his shit about how quickly his "expensive" michelin tires were wearing, and called them a few times to yell at them. 10 years later he spilled the beans :anonymous:

My guess would be transit or lot damage, before it was titled. If OEM wasn’t available in a timely fashion, they could have used those to get the truck sold. Thats still a bit odd especially for a brand new truck.

I'd be concerned about the bumper and the rest of the front end. Either the dealer crashed the truck, or someone at the dealer wanted oem lights and stole yours.

It might be worth your while to ask the dealer where you bought it from, why it has aftermarket parts in it. Probably won't get you far, but it could be fun to hear their excuses.

All the same, if they're in decent condition, I don't think a couple hundred is out of line. Maybe ask $300, but be ready to take less. Unfortunately, with the advent of OEM LED's, there's not much demand for the halogen projectors.

Could of been something as simple as a cracked headlight mounting tab that got them replaced.

I ran into the same issue when I tried to sell my first item. I think posting in certain forums (new members) doesn't count towards the min 50 requirement. Stick around, be chatty and enjoy. We'll see ya around. :hattip:

I haven’t ever left it anywhere for more than an hour at the dealership for regular maintenance it’s only 20k miles but I switched these headlights out for OEM LED just trying to sell them I found it weird they weren’t Toyota

They should have at least replaced them with OEM headlamps.
