I will need your help which one to get first - roof or bed?

Purpose to put hi lift, traction board and others on rack. I have tonneau and I know there is adapter from RCI that is compatible with it.

Here is photo of my truck:

I can’t really help answer your question… or maybe it will.
Prinsu has a sale going on for about 15% off. @Truck Brigade is in on that and if you PM you might get a little extra off- (no promises just never hurts to ask).

Bed for sure. I think they are more versitile and customizable. I am willing to bet that a roof rack hits the MPG's more than a bed rack. I also would bet a roof rack with a bunch of items attached would be really hard on the MPG's.

X2 on bedrack. Lower CG, quieter on road.

We're happy to assist however we can, even if that is with solely questions. I notice the picture of your truck in the initial post of the thread. It looks like you have a hard folding tonneau, is that correct? RCI does offer the Tonneau Cover Adapters (https://truckbrigade.com/products/rci-offroad-bed-rack-tonneau-cover-adapters) to work with their Universal Bed Racks (12" Sport - https://truckbrigade.com/products/rci-offroad-12-sport-bed-rack and 18" HD - https://truckbrigade.com/products/rci-offroad-universal-18-bed-rack).

However, it should be noted that their Tonneau Adapters were designed to work with specific model tonneaus, such as retractable covers and others that sit on the "inside of the bed cap", such as soft roll covers and hard roll covers like the BAK Revolver X4. You can technically install them with a hard fold tonneau however there will have very limited functionality of the tonneau cover.
