Alright, need some advice on what to do....

We have a mudroom inside our basement back door which is how we leave/enter the house 98% of the time. We would like some kind of bench/locker/cabinet setup to get more misc storage and have an organized way to store coats and shoes in this room, especially if our family expands beyond me and wife. The issue is there is very limited wall space due to doorways and windows and wife wants to use the only wall space for a big circular mirror. The layout that I think makes the best use of the space would eliminate a window. The windows face north and west, the west one that would be eliminated is in a window well, so it doesn't get much sun anyways. The windows are wood, old and don't function like the most of the homes windows so we are planning a window replacement project in the next 2-3 years.

So I guess my questions are 1) critique my mudroom layout/storage and 2) if I'm going to eliminate a window should I a) remove window and build a wall, b) make a backing on the lockers and let it be, c) what do I do with this window when I replace the others?

    none yet
I'd lose the window and patch the outside siding, anything else just looks odd. Maybe put in a Solar Tube skylight to bring more daylight back in (id the space above is attic and not living space)

Maybe shorten the bench so there is a 5th shoe cubby in the corner
I'd extend the power out for plugging in shoe/glove dryer(s). Or custom build one.

Looks like u have a pretty good handle on the design
I’ll add to what @CraigF said about the boot dryer…this is unobtrusive and quiet and mounts to a wall:

Also this is a handy thing to have in a mudroorm:

You'd think they wire in at least 4-8 receptacles in a garage. Our garage (split foyer house) had 3 I think, and only two 4' fluorescent shop lights. It now has a dedicated circuit in the breaker box with 8 receptacles, 4 on the walls and 4 in the ceiling, and five 4' led shop lights.

We got lucky in that when we got a new roof last summer (hail damage), the insurance adjuster also included all new gutters. We went with 6", and I can tell a difference in how much rain they can handle vs. the older ones, which were smaller.

Gotta ask - is there a GFCI receptacle in line before those? Not sure if it's required to have garage receps protected by GFCI everywhere or by region...
