Depends on how much you care about small paint swirls. Dont dry dust a vehicle. Rinse with low pressure water, then wash/dry with microfiber.

if it is actual dust/pollen or grass clippings, don't wipe it with anything. Use a cordless leaf blower, (either the most powerful ego 56V or the dewalt 60v brushless axial blower), there are some decent waterless products for light cleaning but without good technique you will do more harm than good. Wash it once a week and live with some dust in between washes.

Limit spray/rag to only stuff that might damage the paint like bird shit, bugs and such. DI water is the answer since you don't have to towel dry it after but it's stupid expensive and at this time of year dusty can be an every day thing.

    Car show guy here.
I often will use my leaf blower to blow off most of the dust including under the hood and trunk. I use a California Duster for light dust build up and at the car shows. I have shown my cars since the 1980s and never have washed them. Once or twice a year I may give them a sponge bath to keep water from spotting in hard to get at areas. I wax them twice a year. My 65 Galaxie I recently sold was painted in 1997 and still looked great.

My 17 Tacoma is pressure washed and then towel dried out of the sunlight. No water spots ever. Its waxed twice a year and dusted off with the California Duster as well.
I really don't think dust is much of an issue unless it sets on the surface for a long time. Dirt is another story.
