35 inch tires with 2 inch lift?

    The 10 ply rating you see on most tires is only saying that it is a radial tire that can hold the same weight and pressure as a 10 ply bias ply tire. most radial tires have only 3 or 4 plys in their actual construction.

    Your not getting a true 10 ply. I am not saying that they are not available but they are typically cost prohibitive. I know my local tire shops will not sell them. The link kind of explains a lot on how tires are marketed.

    I'm guessing he was referring to load E rated tires. Right now only Goodyear and Bridgestone are making a true 10 ply.

    I hope you pulled the trigger. People hate on 35s, 2” of lift you can do it just get all sorts of cutting tools, hammers and passion out. Have many friends running them with stock gears, level kits, full 3” suspension lifts all the nick nacks and none of them have had any issues other than them sending it too hard. Old thread but damn little bit of fabrication never hurt anyone. Just stop with the raptor light people.
