I 100% agree! The CV bearings will start to bind.
But RC actually claims 3.5 on our 3rd Gen Tacoma's. (But again I would never seriously believe RC)

IMHO, I think if you would like to go over 3" just do a DB kit and you'll have less issues in the future. ( I know some people think DB lift are the worst thing ever) But those people never had a DB.
I'd love to do a DB lift on this truck. I had it on my previous 2 Tacoma's and they are Great! Unfortunately it makes it impossible to go into parking garages. But if it wasn't for that reason? I'd do a 6" ProComp lift on this Tacoma.

I am only at 3⅛in of lift with the spacers installed and that's as high as I'm going.

Op is just going to do what he wants regardless of any solid advice anyone gives him.

I didn't get advice, although I wish I did. I used a quarter inch spacer. Same as what most people use for taco lean. Are we saying that anyone with a lean spacer is over extending now? Cruz I think there's thousands of people using them. Should they all take them out because they will expload or something? This is what I'm not understanding.

People come to TW for advice then get pissed at that advice.

On second thought maybe they just want confirmation and get pissed when they don't get it.

Not mad its installed and still perfect horizontal CV s and no noise or binding whatsoever. I wish someone came on without an opinion about a quarter inch spacer and was an actual tech or something. Everyone I'm at 3⅛ in lift Jesus

1/4in spacer will not hurt anything. If you dont plan on doing any real offroading then crank those sum' bitches to 3in and put your spacers on and mail it in :D

I added a 1in spacer front and rear. Been very happy with it. They were really hard to find until I searched “Big D*ck Energy spacer lifts” :D
