    Oh look, another mod....
This time I did, I was waiting as long as possible before filling up. Gas prices have dropped 35 cents in the last 10 days, I was trying to get the cheapest price possible.

I get max smiles per mile from my truck but with the current gas prices I’ve been commuting to work in the wife’s vw golf.

I used to never care about how much I spent on gas till my first $80 fillup a few weeks ago. It just doesn’t make sense to drive my 14mpg truck back and forth to work when she works 100% remote and her car gets 40+mpg.

On the flip side she’s been commenting on how fun the truck is to drive for her quick errands around the neighborhood when I have her car.

    Lots:
    I get smiles of appreciation.
    I get smiles of laughter.
I get smiles of disgust (I’ll take the smile).
I get smiles of lust (ok assumed but if I have to get disgust I’m balancing it with lust).
I get a smile every time my kids get in.
I get smiles in the reflection of my wife’s eyes.
I get smiles of a deranged psychopath in the rear viewer mirror…

We've gotten down to 3.50 at some stations around here. I've still being driving my wife's Honda Fit to work though and saving the truck for the fun weekend drives

Gas Prices in San Diego have gone up 28 days in a row. Next time I gas up I will take a photo of the posted prices.

    No Joke!

I got into a habit to fill up at half a tank. When the prices started going up, I adjusted my fill up time to 3/4 tank.

This is because work is 4 miles one way so I'm not going more than 12-15 miles M-F.

I also hit/merge onto highway 13 for 2 miles which allows me to rev my engine a lil bit on my way to work at 5:45am. (**Big Grin**)

My heart wants gears, 35s and a super charger. My bank account says it's not gonna happen

Smile like a fool when I drive this thing. My Pathfinder refused to get better than 15/16mpg no matter how hard the wind was blowing at its back. MID hangs out between 18.5-20.8. Last few days it's been staying around 21. Hand calcs say mid 19s. I'm also only at 2800 miles.
