I would see how many miles it had when he got it. Then I would check the maintenance book for that year and see whats required at what intervals and what's done. It's low miles so only major service might have been from 10k on some bikes are a lot longer. First major check on my BMW is 12k.
Sell it for scrap. Past its time for sure. The way its going if I keep the Tacoma that long after 6 years ill have the same amount of miles with the lack of driving I do

As someone with a vivid imagination and a forest full of mountain lions, I gave up riding my mountain bike at night solo. Way too stressful

bought mine in feb of 2021 and have put a total of 3500 on it. I work from home since Covid so didn’t exercise it a lot over the past year. I had another primary vehicle that I drove around town but I sold it so now the truck gets some more time

Probably one of the most reliable motorcycle engines of all time. I wouldn’t sweat it as long as maintenance records look good and the price reflected the mileage. Enjoy!

We have something scarier than mountain lions... "pineys".

Anyone ever consider an e-bike for cross training? Something about a quiet ktm free ride or sur-ron x is hella appealing for backyard practice.

Yeh I live near and wheel in the pines. I know the Pineys well. They scare me more than the mountain people in Deliverance.

I’ve considered one… we live on a golf course and the dirt bikes are too loud to ride on the cart path … but an ebike would fit the bill nicely.

Yeah, we have the desert version of Pineys around here, but I don't run into them on the daily. Lotta strange stuff happens out in the west deserts of Utah. One of the few places I stay strapped without exception.

Helped a local 4x4 group look for these two for a weekend, with tragic result several weeks later. Terrifying.

Yep. Almost fell down one by accident a few years ago. Another one has a jeep wedged down it from accidently driving over a chasm.

Yeah I have a small patch of woods behind my house. An e bike could let me practice while my son naps, or even give me something fun to ride around when he starts riding bikes.

Super fucked. Sketch people like that is what I am afraid of running into. Once I am on the single track I usually feel pretty safe, they are far from the main roads. But I see all types of people out at all times of night on the main dirt roads getting to the single track.

It’s almost 60 here today so I took the Navi back in to work instead of the F800 after lunch. Up to a whopping 42 miles on it now haha

I think that would be 420 miles in "real" bike miles, though, so !

Had a guy come look at my F4i and he just couldn't get past the "really high mileage", just over 33,300. I said "I've got records of all maintenance and everything has been done by me because I want to know it was done well." He was like "....". Whatever, dude.
