Not all blade materials are equal; some are much easier to sharpen.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but guessing the foot bed. Seems they lose support. Right now I have a new insert in there but they just don't provide comfort like new.

I’ve been working on my pocket knife for 15 minutes, it’s worse than when I started :annoyed:

I actually seen video of a knife sharpener and it looks easy enough for a machinist guy to fabricate.
It's a device to keep the correct angle.

Does switching out a utility knife blade count as "sharpening"? I'm pretty good at that. :p

My dad was amazing at sharpening knives. He'd test them by shaving a small section of he arm hair. My pocket knife was crazy sharp. I did not inherit that skill.

All that fine mini machinery you make and you can't sharpen a knife. I figured you would be able to shave a gnat's ass .

Those are the only footbeds of theirs I can use. They have good arch support and a nice cup for the heel.

The pair I have now are a leather insole pair. They were the worst thing, until I broke in the foot bed. Now they are the most comfortable shoe I own.

I’m blessed to be able to make a lot of things, a sharp knife isn’t one of them though

That is exactly why I carry a utility knife. I used to carry a really nice pocket knife but couldn’t keep the thing sharp. My old boss could sharpen knives really good. I tried and tried and it only got worse. Pretty easy now to just grab a new blade and stick it in and it’s sharp.

Ive got an operation going today around the rocket and the guy that fell off the toilet is involved. Let's hope he's the helper not the wrench turner.
