    Update 2:

    ——————-

Hey Everyone. Just wanted to make a 3rd and final update on my taco. Finally got the 6112/5160, bilstein b12 springs, icon UCA, and RXT pack on the 3rd option. Took a little over a month to get all the parts in to the shop. Very happy with the end result. Ride quality seems to be a lot softer on road and will soon go out and test off-road. I was a little worried about the back being too stiff as I only have about 250ish lbs in the back but it’s actually not stiff at all. I only took rear before and after measurements from the bottom of the hub to bottom of fender before was 24” and after came out to 26”. The front although I did not measure looks to be about the same height. Attached are some photos. Ended up paying just over $1500 for the entire setup as the shocks/springs were covered by the dealer. Wanted to thank everyone for all the advise and help through this journey!

As a side note. Anyone know how much I could sell/interested in purchasing the OEM UCA, leaf pack, shocks/springs? (have about 7.5k miles on them)

Congrats on getting it done, looks nice! Did you flex out the rear and measure? I have 5160’s but seems like they’d be too short and might act like a limiting strap on those RXT springs.

Got it done at the shop so I didn’t. How would I go about doing that?

Ahh got it. Basically if you wanted to know how far your leaf packs will extend you'd have to break down the leaf pack and cycle the suspension using a jack/lift. Then you measure at full compression and full extension to know how far the leafs cycle at maximums. From there you choose a shock to fit the application. If the shop did it (which I see now from reading other threads) they for sure wouldn't have gone to that trouble because none of them do.

Far as I can tell the 5160 shocks will be a limiting factor if you fully droop/flex the rear. Might have problems topping out before you get to full flex and that can damage/kill shocks. Search the forums for something like "rxt 5160 droop" and you will see other people running this but confirming the shock is a limiting factor. Worth knowing what your setup can and cannot do to keep it in one piece. Good luck.

Around here - $100-250. You can see people asking for more but their ads stay up forever and I don't think anyone is buying when people are asking $300, $400...etc. That said, personally, I'd keep 'em. Having a full set of spares is worth more than the measly couple hundred bucks you could sell 'em for. If you ever needed to pull your new suspension off due to a leaky shock or some other damage, or just returning the truck to stock before selling it...etc. Personally, I keep all my stock parts when I mod my vehicles.
