Hey all, i noticed some fluid on my PS cap/res the other day and some other spots, i cleaned off the PS res area to see if it was ATF from the PS res but a few hundred miles later my res is clean, but the other spots (not so much the fan shroud area, it just poured here the past couple days) kinda stick out to me now. Would this be something to worry about? It’s a 2016 with 83k on it. Thinking it may be just from a tech sending it and filling it up with oil and no funnel or something. Fluid level on the dipsticks (both PS and Oil) are normal. BEC601D9-389E-456A-9A73-B7FBE0E057B7.jpg

My PS cap let's a fine mist out the top making an oily mess collect over time. The rib seal appears to have gotten hard. Was that way when I got truck 3 years ago. It's a '13 and had about 90k then. Currently has 176k.

I just wipe it off every 2 weeks. When it starts getting worse I'll fab a seal or get new cap.

The only sign of wayward fluid that I see is on the fan shroud, not seeing anything on the valve cover or intake manifold area... plus the shadow and all. Maybe you have some closer-up pictures?
By the way, you are missing a bolt on the intake resonator chamber, right next to the oil fill cap. Not a critical fastener, but wanted to say something.

Wipe off and check it in a couple weeks.
Until then, I wouldn’t worry about it.

I knew that bolt was gone lol any idea on size? Truck is gone for a few days but i can get better pics thurs/fri. As for the fan shroud goes i think its from dripping atf when i was checking the levels the past couple days, thats right where i would do it at lol

If the head of the other bolt on the left takes a 10mm socket. Then my guess is M6x1.0 You can stick the end of a zip-tie done the hole and get an ideal of how long you need it to be. Obviously you want it a little shorter than the over all length you measure. As you want the head of the bolt to bottom out on the intake. And NOT the bottom of the bolt that bottoms out first.

If it uses a 12mm socket.
Then the bolt is probably an M8x1.25

This is basically right. All 3 of the bolts that fasten the intake resonator to the valve cover are the same size. So pull one of the others and get another one of those, whatever it is.
