@BarcelonaTom67 , congratulations on the new job.
I get mixed reviews from folks who have worked from home or have had the option to do so.
Some preferred to come into the plant (saying just more productive) and others who just decided forget that, I'm going to retire when it was mandatory to return on site.
I hope it's good for you.

You are also not intelligent enough to know that it was a compliment that I gave you. But I don’t love you for your brains, I love you for your looks.

First, thank you to everyone who wished me well :)

As to working from home.... my first 18 years in my career were in a cubicle "farm". Then I got laid off for the first time.... next two jobs were both work from home. I was concerned at first, thinking "oh, the distraction of slipping away to watch TV, wander around the house,...", and for me, at least, I found I was far more productive at home, because I was spending a lot of time shooting the shit over the cube walls with my friends when I had been in an office. And of course the zero commute, sleep until the last minute and just roll out of bed and into the office (at home). The company I am leaving today, I worked in another cube farm from January 2017 until the March 2020 Covid lock downs sent everyone to work from home. Obviously each person is different, and each person's situation is different. But this permanent work from home will give my wife and I the ability to follow her parents and move the hell out of Kalifornia this year.

Story; so 15 or so years ago I was required to put on fall harness and work at heights. ( don't like these jobs) so I tell my partner..( his GF, future wife and EMT is there) if I should fall and break my back where you get wood, (she's already giggle and shaking head omg but names the medical term), I ask if it all bunch up in my pants wrong would you be so kind as to reach in there and adjust that for me? You know, like lay it up toward my tummy? We all just laughed and she said omg Donnie you something else!

    Yes!!

My first job, we could basically wear just about anything that would not get you arrested for indecent exposure on the street. That was at a computer chip/technology company. My next 2 jobs were for a large Bank, and while they were both work form home, the few times I did have to go into an office, I had to dress up a bit. I dress almost exactly like my avatar year round, except when I am at home, I wear tank tops always. I only put on a full t-shirt when I have to go out in public. And even though I live in Zoom meetings at work as a daily part of what I do (major incident management), our company policy prohibits us from using our web cams, since we are a health insurance company, any employee might, in theory, have sensitive personal information about a health plan Member on their desk or wall, that could then become visible to anyone on the Zoom meeting if cameras were enabled. Therefore I get to dress however I want every day, and the new job will most likely be similar. Though I may have to wear a t-shirt if I have to Zoom with the boss (if they allow web cams to be used).
