how to dispose automotive lubricant

I got several tubes of used mobil 1 synthetic lubricant.. still has significant grease in it, but not enough for use with the gun.. how do I properly dispose them?

 

throw them in the trash..Thats probably most anyone does.

 

I'm not possitive, but don't auto stores have to accept used auto fluids. Might be worth a call to one in your area and see if they will dispose of it.

 

Take them to any lube shop. By law, if they change those fluids, they have to take them from people. I have changed my own fluids since I bought my truck and I always take my stuff to the nearest Jiffy Lube and they always take it, no questions asked.

 

I put them one the new oil bottle and into the trash can.

 

Hmm this is like grease.. not a fluid that gets changed out..

How To Dispose Of Motor Oil: Simply drain your oil into a clean container (like a gallon milk jug or water container) with a tight-fitting cap. Don't mix the oil with any other liquids, and make sure the oil is free from dirt, leaves, and other debris. Then take it to an oil collection location.

 

Same thing though. If they sell it/change it/use it, they have to dispose of it.
