Another idea is they took the headlights off your truck to repair another vehicle that was waiting on parts, then replaced yours with what they could source easily.

I have the OEM LED ones in my truck and love them. Super wide, pretty bright too. But I dont go anywhere extreme to need the high end $400 fog lights.

You never noticed that while washing your truck? I'd guess the oem lamps would say Toyota on the lens.

I bought it in Nov! Thats wild... like I said I don't really care at this point the headlights are just taking up space in my garage I'm about to just throw them in the trash but if I can get some money for them that would be nice.

They look exactly the same as an OEM headlight the only difference is the label on the inside and you can't really see that when they are installed on the truck. Now that I pulled them out to sell them I realized they didn't say toyota

I think the SEMA 4Runner wheels are cast in Taiwan, nothing wrong with Taiwanese parts.

OEM SEMA wheels are made for Toyota in Thailand.

Also, it is true that Taiwan manufactures some of the highest quality goods on earth. They are competing with Japan and Germany these days for excellence in fit and tolerance. No problem with Taiwanese. It’s a mark of quality. Still……if I was OP…..I’d want to know what the heck went on with my truck.

The truck was damaged and repaired before you picked it up. Most likely repaired by another body shop that the dealer or dealer employee sent it to. Generally when a dealer sends a car to a body shop they will also supply the parts for it, but it's possible the body shop sourced the parts themselves.

Either way, it's absolutely possible the dealer ordered/sent cheaper lights if they damaged it themselves.

There is absolutely no way they were installed at the factory, but between the factory and you? Yeah, that happens.

But for a bit of extra assurance, 2019 model year production ran from
September 2018 to September 2019, and these headlights were manufactured in October 2019.

Thank you guys for all of the insight. I didn't think this thread would go on for 3 pages but here we are! I will put the headlights up for sale and just take whatever I can get... maybe somebody has a broken one or something and needs some replacements for cheap
