After 40 years as a chip design engineer, I finally fully retired in 2020.

In late 2021, I purchased a very good condition 2012 Toyota Tacoma Regular Cab Base 2.7L 4-cylinder truck for a very good price at a dealer near my home. I decided to finally get a pickup truck in order to easily move large bulky stuff into and out of my home. Mostly gardening and yard stuff, but occasionally furniture and other bulky items to either dump or donate to the Salvation Army.

I've been a member for several months now and have found this site super useful in assisting me in making the many upgrades I have made to my truck, going on 20 updates with a few more to go. I'm very happy with my Taco, specially after all the improvements I have made to it, and wished I had purchased one much earlier since I find it so very useful to have around.

Thanks to all the members who have posted thoughts, ideas, information, and DIY projects that I have read and used to help me with updating my truck.
