Good day Tacoma owners, my blower motor stopped working today, it slowed down yesterday and just quit working, I removed the resistor and cleaned it, still no go, not sure what the problem is, I think I’ll order a new blower motor and resistor but is there a way I can test the relay ?, thanks in advance

Does the it work on High.
On High, it bypasses the resistor.
If it doesn’t, turn the blower on (any setting) and check for power at the blower.
    That’s where I’d start.

There is an updated resistor and connector to deal with the failing/burnt resistor.

Have you checked for power/ground at the motor itself?

There are only 2 wire that go to the blower.

    1 is power (I think it’s Black/Yellow
    1 is ground (I think it’s White/Blue)

You can verify this with a meter to be sure.
I would recommend a test light if you have one.

Note: The power goes to the blower all the time regardless of if the blower is turned on or not. The switch etc is used to connect the ground side of the circuit.

    Heater / AC Circuit:

Power to blower motor: 50Amp Heater Fuse >> Heater Relay >> Blower Motor 12 VDC >> AC Control >> Resistor >> Ground.

Note: IG 1 No 2 fuse closes the heater Relay when the truck is started. So the blower connection will have 12 volts anytime it is running regardless of the blower switch position.
