This is what I use in my Tacoma and wife’s car… with the Spigen Magsafe case, also on Amazon… it is solid… strong enough magnet.. unless you are wheeling…. https://www.amazon.com/ESR-HaloLock-Magnetic-Attachment-Alignment/dp/B08HNBHSQV?crid=21IRAR5AM908M&keywords=esr+magsafe+car+mount&qid=1646485008&sprefix=ESR+%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-1-spons&smid=A3BBGHDKUKWCAL

Additionally, I got a 25mm to 17mm dual ball adapter from Ram and mounted it on my DMM… a more simple way would be to use the vent mount. works for me, but for world peace, the wife likes it. Hope this helps.

A bit pricey combo, but I ordered a DMM from TacoGarge and a Ram mount from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/RAM-MOUNTS-R...=1646485741&sprefix=ram+mount,aps,158&sr=8-19

I received the Ram mount and am impressed with the quality and how solid and sturdy it is. The DMM has been shipped and I can't wait to get this installed. I presently have a cheapo vent mount clip on from Amazon and hate it.

The great folks @CourseMotorsports Course MotorSports sent me an Autogrip Charging Head to try out. About a year and a half ago they sent me one of their early design Magnetic Direct Fit Phone Mounts (shown in the later pictures). It worked great but using the steel plate in the phone case eliminated Qi charging and I found that because of the size of my iPhone and wanting to orient it horizontally, the phone would droop to one side from road vibration. Course has since created mounts for numerous vehicle types and manufacturers and have mounts for Tundras and Sequoias, too. They’ve added Magnetic Charging Heads to the line-up, as well. I’m going to hard-wire this one in the coming days and replace the magnetic head. More to come!

I put the new Course Motorsports Autogrip Charging Head onto the original mount I've been using. The original set-up was a non-charging magnetic head. I loved the fit but using the steel plate in the phone case eliminated Qi charging. And, I prefer to place my phone - an iPhone Xs Max - horizontally on the mount and it would always droop to one side or the other. This was the original mount kit.

Since making the original Course Motorsports has greatly expanded their line, added charging magnetic heads and also this powered Autogrip mount.

Once powered the wings close down on the phone automatically when you set it into the mount. To remove the phone, you just touch one of the lighted buttons on either side of the mount (or top/bottom, depending on orientation).

I need to give it a better road test - will do that on Friday when I have to run some errands. I am also in the process of hard-wiring the mount instead of using the included adapter in the power outlet on the dash. All in all, though, I am really happy with the unit - always loved the low-profile mount that attaches to the upper left screw of the infotainment system. It holds my phone securely and doesn't droop. Looks like a winner especially if you have a larger profile phone. As you can see, the phone is charging through my Otterbox case

When I originally inquired about the mount at Course Motorsports, they did tell me that some users have indicated an issue where they have to angle the mount up to keep the motor housing from hitting the dash surround. They will be making an offset but they sent me the details and I secured a 7/16" hex offset that works perfectly. You can see it attached to the mount in the second picture.

That Taco Garage DMM is pretty cool, just watched the install video, I like that it is practically invisible. Thanks!

I went with the Hondo Un-Holey mount, combined with a ram mount, ram arm, and wireless charging head from Quad Lock. The Quad Lock case is on my phone all the time, and I have mounts for it on all my bikes. A little pricey for the whole setup, but I love it.IMG_5198.jpg

Topgo. It sits in a cupholder. I have it in a metal Yeti coozie to lift it up higher. Makes it very easy to take out of the truck when I need to.

was using the Scosche magic mount in my old phone ( still have it but not installed), but since i switched to an iPhone 13, so now i use a magsafe mount from amazon.
that scosche mount is great if you don't use Wireless charging.

i still cannot understand why is so difficult to find an option that is not Vent or CD mounted. i'm like is either gonna be flimsy or is gonna break my vents. give me suction cups or 3M tape

I went with a mount from a company called Quarble. I've had it for about a month now. I use an iPhone 13 pro and it's a heavier phone. This magnet is pretty strong and it pivots on a ball, but its pretty solid. I drive a TRD Sport that has pretty stiff suspension and the phone does not fall. I have it placed at a slight angle and the phone does not lose its position. I also found a right angle 12 inch cable for Apple Car play and it stays totally out of the way and doesn't obstruct from reaching whatever beverage I have in the cupholder below it. The only thing it does obstruct is pushing the ECT PWR button when you need to, but even then you just reach your finger behind the phone.
