window regulator met an untimely demise yesterday when my friend decided it would be a good idea to hold the window button down, so I couldn't roll it back up, while yelling penis out the window. Initially was looking at just the motor, but the whole regulator has to come out anyway. The assembly wasn't as expensive as I was expecting, so I just got it all. managed to snag the last AISIN part on rock auto.

in return they received 1 entire trip around a roundabout with no swaybars at a speed of my choice. thanks to my broken wheel speed sensor, safety was completely disregarded

 

This whole adventure sounds so worth a broken window.

Well the window magically started working again. It was really struggling before, so maybe the motor got all worked up and just wasn't having it. Part won't ship until Monday, so I guess I'll play the window and see if it is consistently working again

edit: ended up shipping today (sunday). still going to replace because I can tell its definitely weaker

 

saw a quicksand DCSB 3rd gen with a Prinsu and a softopper at Home Depot in Ashburn today. I didnt stay long enough to find the owner, but I did park next to them for 5 whole min.

Finished the weekend feeling very accomplished. Fixed the seeping rear diff seal, no leaks! Holy fuck that rear diff is heavy!
