I watched my first Star Wars ever in Utah too. The very first one, and I couldn’t get into it. But that should explain me not catching the joke lol.

I’m all about the self burns though.

The very first one. I don’t remember if I started in order of release or story order…. A new hope maybe?

a new hope? episode iv. that's the first one released. but yeah. the originals are a bit...trickier to watch. but for the time they were released, amazing movies. not so much by today's standards. ep 1 (the phantom menace) is prequel and it's pretty good too. acting aside. haha.

try starting off with the mandalorian on disney plus. :)

Got one more question with this....did you have to ground this in any way? I know with my cb radio I had to ground the mount, but I don't seem to see people grounding ham/gmrs antennas?

I'll be mounting a MXTA25 3dB Gain Ghost Antenna onto a steel plate...on top of my rack.

What is it about Star Wars acting? They hire great actors (and some not so much) and then they tell them to act in monotone as though they are tired to the bone.

The first movie my wife and I saw together was the first released Star Wars movie. Downtown Salt Lake. That theater is long gone now.

who knows. I feel like George Lucas just doesn't do a good job directing the acting portion. Maybe he does better with overall story rather than minute acting details. :/ I enjoyed Ewan McGregor's performance. Hayden did all right with the super clunky dialogue he was given....Natalie Portman........not so much. "you're breaking my heart!" PFTSH!

Mandalorian is the same way. Completely monotone. It's like they are afraid to let the actors loose for fear they will outshine the storyline.

now that you mention it, yeah. mando is mostly very monotone. the story is much better than any of the new stuff we've gotten (save rogue one)

I posted this in the RTT thread, but didn’t get a lot of insight, so looking for some more perspective on the subject.

Curious if anyone has had their bed start to pull apart? I have about 1/2 to 3/4” gap between the tailgate and the bed. It’s not horrible, but it’s heading that way.

I do have TC bed stiffeners installed. I have a bed rack with the 1st edition CVT wedge tent, and C4 swing out bumper with the spare. It’s all heavy AF, but probably no more than most are carrying.

I’m wondering if anyone has come up with a solution. I currently have ratchet straps installed whileI figure out a more permanent solution.

The metal frame around the bottom/sides may be separating, the mounting holes enlarging as weight/vibration works on the components? Sounds like a PITA to fix, but you might have to take it apart and metal grommet w/glue the holes that mount that metal frame to the fiberglass.

There really isn’t any signs of it separating other than the gap and the tailgate will stick on occasion.

The bed stiffener on the side of the bed that’s pulling apart had one nut stripped and the top bolt snapped, when I likely over torqued it.

Was actually out in our ram cummins last weekend east of our place outside of Kanab. Came across a newer Tacoma owner and his wife that had caught a massive wash rut on the road and got his drivers side wheels about 6" off the ground. Also mangled his passenger side predator step. Right front passenger tire was shredded from the rocks in the wash rut.

It had rained the night before and the red dirt was tacky, but not real sticky. He was having a heck of a time with it.

Managed to pull them out and into a spot where the ground was good enough to change his front tire out with the spare. Led him into Cannonville.

Told him to check out this regional forum. Said he was from California and had a Tacoma World account. His wife took some pictures....hoping he posts some up. There's one of our small dog standing on my belly while I shimmied under his truck that I'd like a copy of.
