    Are all the coils brown or just one? Toyota did put a brown band towards the top… can’t say what it was for? Stole this pic from another thread.

    The colored paint dots are spring codes. White and yellow should be left and right. I forgot which is which but the rear lelf springs part numbers are painted white and yellow also.

    The wrap near the top is a insulator. It helps with noise from the coils banging together. Most factory springs are progressive so these coils will bind first. You see these on a lot of different vehicles
