You the MVP! Decided to go with the HIGH brightness option.

Finally got around to hooking it up.
Just need to do the drivers side someday Lol

I’m back. On to the drivers side. I am utilizing pin 7 for BRIGHT DRL with the red wire and it’s not working. Is this right? Can i utilize any of the thicker gauge wires in the door lock switch connector instead?

i tested my connection and am getting DC 13.72 volts. Consistent.

my turn signal works fine. DRL doesn’t at all.

    On drivers side use these 2 wires;

What year is the truck? Do you have a thicker gauge white wire?

    I have a 2022 sr5…

I will have to mess with it tomorrow, but those wires look like its on the door window switch which has a thicker white wire. I tapped into it as well, with no luck. I’m confused because on the passenger side, I only wired the red wire for Bright DRL. I didn’t have to tap into two wires like the DIY guide on the meso website. White wire is for DIM option so it’s not connected to anything right now.

I confirmed the wires in my other post, but I am confused if I need to tap into two wires for the driver side? But according to this entire thread (and my own passenger side hookup). I only need to pick 1 for either DIM or Bright mode. I am not bothering to wire these to the headlights for both brightness options.

here is a pic of my passenger lit up (red meso signal wire is tapped into white wire window switch) and the driver side is hooked up per the diagrams with the “O1” connector. Pin 7 for bright and pin 8 (not tapped) for DIM. Got no luck

Did you verify it illuminate before install? Might be a bad light.
Also, with your DMM, verify juice at the tap. (male connector removed)

    A few.
On my 2019 the white and green are thicker gauge wires on the drivers side power window harness, so since i was using the quick T connectors like shown in ur instructions, i ended up connecting to the power door wiring harness but on the passenger side it did match what was in ur instructions and i tapped into the power window harness.
Problem now is the passenger drl lights anytime the truck is running but the drivers side only lights when the headlights are on. I have to go back in and make a change.

So on the passenger side, your instructions matched mesos. Did you utilize the green and pink? I don't have auto roll down windows so my connector was different and only needed to tap into the thick white wire for constant Bright mode when the car is on.

I checked the voltage on my driver side already on the connectors metal itself. Seems like maybe it could be a bad DRL cause it’s getting power.

here is the diagram from previous posts that @caribemakaira posted that match my powered mirror connector

I guess I got a bad DRL. Hooked it up per MESO instructions as well with the door window switch. No luck.

Tried both for the bright and dim options. Nothing.

the O1 connector (mirror control) as well.

Check the light for power on the other side to see if it’s the light. Also check turn signal.

Yes, tried it on the other side with no luck to make sure I wasn’t going crazy. I checked the voltages and it should be powered up.

Turn signal works perfectly fine. It’s the DRL that isn’t working. I have reached out to Tacomabeast to get a replacement!

If only I wasn't a slacker and installed it the same day I did my passenger side, would have found out a while ago!

MESO is awesome and reached out for a replacement! Thanks all! Will update with pics later

    It’s alive!

Same connections as before, but this time, it worked!

P18 connector white wire (pin 14) hooked up in Bright mode (red wire from turn signal wire attachment).

Thank you, @MESO for the quick replacement! Now, just patiently waiting for those tail lights!

Anyone know if the ultimate turn signals (pre v5) included resistors?

Hey guys! I’m doing some wiring today and I have my door panel off. First time I’ve taken this apart. The truck has 3000 miles on it. I found some water puddling in my door panel. Should I be concerned about this? I don’t see anywhere for the water to drain out.51C4D3DB-0DB3-49F9-82F2-847CD734D99F.jpg

How are you liking the Morimoto’s? Gen 2 I assume? Any problems show up like others have posted?

It's normal for water to run down the inside of the door. The OEM speakers have a cover to keep the water off. If you install aftermarket speakers, depending on the size, you should get something like this. The weeping holes are located on the inside bottom flange of the door.
