    Hello All!

My buddy's Tacoma floorpan sustained damage from a piece of rebar that flipped up and pierced the floor pan. See photos (one photo is from interior and one is from underneath). Hole is about 1-1/4" and just under the rear seat, so easy access, thankfully.

I am thinking of doing the following:

    1. Push the piece still attached back in place
    2. Spatula a layer of POR-15 POR Patch repair.
    3. Lay some body repair screen on top of the POR Patch then follow up with some more POR Patch.
    4. Once that is cured then spatula a layer of POR Patch from the bottom side of the repair to seal it up.

    Any thoughts/suggestions?

    Thanks.

Oof. At least it looks like a clean hit and is fairly easy to get to. Mine was a log that jumped up under the passengers front seat. Not the easiest place to get to. @EatSleepTacos had the same thing with a rock.

I used 3M Panel Bonding Adhesive (P/N 08115) and the Heavy-Bodied Seam Sealer (P/N 08308). Highly recommend those products. They are expensive, plus you'll need the applicator gun, but I think it was worth it. The applicator is P/N 08571 and a pack of extra mixing nozzles are 08193.

Here is the thread I made. Kinda shows my process a little if ya wanna take a look:

For this one Id probably beat it flat, peal back all that factory sound deadening, clean it up, and then use a small patch panel to cover the hole. As others told me, the Bonding Adhesive will not bridge gaps like a weld would, it will only bond two panels pressed up against eachother. Then seam seal up from the bottom.

Follow-up a year later and the POR-15 POR Patch repair is going strong after subjected to 0 degrees to over 100 degrees temp range.
