They usually have a two part plastic "lift" that looks kind of like a sissor lift. They are a PITA to to take out put back in so
Start top of key pry up with a knife
hold it hen pry up bottom of key with kife
It will pop off and leave the plastic lifters.
You will see a small rubber piton in the center that is the switch so it is safe to use some rubbing alcohol and to clean it and air can it dry.

I had one of those come waltzing in my shop one day, I was like.......:eek::eek:
They're savages!! I've been keeping an eye out, so far so good. But when they start tearing up my yard I'll hit em with my relocation device.

Nasty buggers...or is it boogers? I dunno but i had to nuke them with the killer pellets. They would usually bypass the trap somehow. I did catch a couple in one trap but wasnt effective. One i had a nice cabbage and it ate the root from bottom, and i pulled on the cabbage and nothing below ground level. Applied pellet treatment and problem went away. I know people have pets so they cant use pellets.

When you get that rush job done that is a redo anyway cause the customer wanted it wider and your boss comes out and says crap, I forgot to move the holes on the print :frusty:

I’ll have to get creative to put the 1” counterbores 1” deep on the back side now that the ends are welded on

I may have to try the pellets; I usually catch 6-8 per year in the trap. They must breed like rabbits.

The mole holes suck; but when the neighborhood dogs try to dig them up and create a hole the size of a 5 gallon bucket...that really pisses me off. There are no leash laws in my neighborhood...it's like the wild wild west 'round here!!
I've become that old bitchy guy.

Disassemble and clean with cleaner & q-tips? Sounds like a sticky situation whatever you do.

    :sorry:

Folks, please avoid using poison if at all possible! I get that folks like a nice, level, green lawn, and roots on their cabbage, but there's a huge potential downstream effect to using this sort of treatment in terms of potential effect on wildlife, especially carrion eaters, and especially, especially birds of prey who may encounter the carcass of a poisoned rat/mole/squirrel/whatever, ingest some of it and the die as a result.

Something most of us don't think about, thanks for the reminder.

I think a lot of it has to do with how we were brought up, my dad was a kill it all however kinda guy. One of my favorite dogs died from eating rat poison in his barn.

Only time I've ever seen one out of the ground is if the cat catches one somehow.
