I have a female cig lighter outlet that is constantly on, I use it to charge my Jackery240 charging but it drains my battery, I was told by someone in Jackery who emailed me directly and told me that it would cut off at 11.8 and wouldnt drain my battery, but one day I went to start it and it was a hard start, like it took too much power out of my battery. Should I trust the jackery cut off at 11.8 and keep charging like that. Or is there something i can splice into the male 12v cig lighter wire for it can cut off at 11.8? Thanks

11.8V is quite low (~35% charge) to drain a standard lead acid vehicle battery on a regular basis, while a battery in good condition should still start the truck at 11.8V it's not gona have a very long lifespan running it down that low too many times.
There are low voltage cutoff devices you could wire in to cut it off at a higher voltage but you would still be causing increased wear to your battery and also your alternator will have to work alot harder to recharge a low battery.
I would suggest only charging it when the truck is running or finding an alternate way of charging it.

Yeppers. You could wire something like this in and adjust the under voltage setpoint to desired level to maintain a good SOC for starting battery protection.
