Hi all, This is a new development lately...I don't think it's critical but it IS something I need to address now...
After my V6 gets warmed up it starts cutting out a split second at a time...It seems to be a problem at higher speeds like 45 and above...And maybe this will be a clue for you as well..Say I turn onto a road with any sort of grade upwards...When I put attempt to accelerate to get back up to speed, the bottom will drop out for a couple of seconds , then it"ll take off just fine...
I haven't had time to really investigate the problem and I'm starting now with this post...
I'm all stock truck wise and not planning any real mods since it's a work/ farm / suburban assualt vehicle...I'm somewhere around the fuel pump or the injectors in my thinking...Maybe the throttle position sensor or that area...What say you ?

I would clean your throttle-body and your mass airflow sensor and definitely check your plugs
If all that is good. Check coil packs

With the truck running just unplug one coil pack at a time and when you don’t hear a difference that could be the one

Thanks Geeves...I'm hoping your info leads to my problem...I'm still worried that it could be a failing fuel injector from a couple of things I read elsewhere...And the coils, I've never messed with at all... I'm sure it's an easy process...I'm still in the learning phase about my truck..As far as a regular tune up, I didn't realize that I do all that needs to be done already...I thought that checking the timing was something that was done during a tune...Stuff I couldn't do myself or didn't have the tools & knowledge...I AM gonna pull these newer plugs and go back to Denzos though...And clean the throttle stuff again as well...Wish I had a garage again

Checking the timing that’s all ECU controlled it’s not like an old car and as for the coil packs do usually held in by eight or 10 mm screw on screw that and they just pop off come straight out like a spark plug boot kind of which what they are in a way
This way you can check your plugs make sure they’re good and like I said with the truck running take and unplug one coil at a time to see if you hear a difference in the motor you’ll really have to listen close

Same here I do not have a garage and I wish I did
When you clean your throttlebody and mass airflow sensor make sure used to correct cleaners are you could damage stuff

It's been awhile since I first posted on this...I read a bunch of earlier posts and listened to a few folks like Geeves...I picked up some Denzo platinum plugs to replace my hotter ones I installed...And I decided to try a Lucas product just as a Hail Mary to start with...And it WORKED immediately..This bottle treats 100 gallons of gas and you add 3 ozs per 10;gallons of fuel...I added about 4 ozs to approx 16 gallons about a week ago..
It went from a constant drop ( couple times a minute while driving ) to zilch...And it happened pretty much immediately...I'm not sure if the problem will re appear if I stop using it, but right now, I'm tickled to death...I have always tried to buy Lucas because I've heard good stuff and I'm into the World of Outlaws Sprint series , which Lucas is into...Hope this helps and Thanks Geeves

Great to hear the Mule is running better. I've been using Chevron Techron in my 2007 V6 since new and every once in a while throw in some premium... truck runs great. I wonder if you just got ahold of some bad gas?

It's possible, but I probably ran 4 or 5 tanks of gas thru it from dead empty...I was trying to see if it was that...I kinda think it was a dirty fuel injector...I'd heard about coils , bad fuel , a couple other things I'd read from old posts...And the claims all over that Lucas bottle kinda muddies the water too...It does everything for an engine , whatnot...It reads almost like a snake oil cure all in a way...But , I've heard nothing but good about their products ... I'll run this bottle through and see what happens...On to my brake issues today !
