Truck leans on the passenger side in the rear. If you look in the pic the driver side forward bed comes up over the rear window, while the passenger stays stock flush with the window. It’s about a half inch difference. What could be causing this?

Are you on level ground? Check you bed bolts underneath and compare to the driver side. Could it possibly be higher on the driver side?

Yessir, level ground. Had a buddy drive behind me just to make sure I wasn’t crazy and he saw the lean. I’ll check those bolts though.

I noticed our TRD OR leans to the passenger side a couple of nights ago too. Mine is Cement too. Maybe it's a paint thing. :)

Its not suspension. Are you the original owner and has the truck always been like this, or did this happen recently? Something is way off. On level ground take some measurements from the ground to the bottom of the rear fenders....where they come close to the cab. Do the same regarding the chassis.

Second owner. Bought recently and noticed this one day just looking at it. Could the frame be tweaked?

highly unlikely unless it was in an accident. At which point if the frame was damaged you'd hope it'd been replaced

I guess anything is possible, but that's not what it looks like to me. I'd look at the bed in that left front corner and verify it's sitting directly on the frame. Also check the left rear cab mount. It could be worn or missing causing the cab to sit low in that corner.

Look inside each of the two rear wheel wells, looking slightly toward the cab direction. On both the left and right side you can clearly see the vehicle frame and the bottom outside area of the cargo bed where they bolt together. They should be touching. Is the plastic bed touching the frame on both sides? If so, then you have a frame issue.

Bed looks tweaked to me if it’s truly sitting on level ground. I’d climb under there and poke around then go the measurements route.

That is the drivers side...exactly how it looked in the photo. The question is why....just loose bolts? Why would it be pushed up?

There’s a plastic pin that’s directly behind the bolt that seats into a cylindrical mount in the bed - that pin it’s snapped over to the right and is causing the bed to be lifted on that side.

    Bumping this thread.

Mounting my lumber rack and realizing I’ve got about a 5/16” sag in relation to the rear window to my passengers side as well. Bolts are snug, truck has 1200 miles and has not been in an accident. Frame components measure all the same length but still this sag. Haven’t put any load in the bed or rack yet.

There is also a variance at the front of bed bar that connects either side of the bed. It’s about 1/8” high in relation to the bed rail on the passengers side.

I can loosen the bolts and lift the bed to where it wants to be in relation to the window. Thinking of getting a washer or two and tucking them in there.

I’m curious though, are there discrepancies that come out of the factory? Are there certain things that could just be a bit off? Do these visual cues actually mean anything is actually weird with the truck?

Mine looks the same way...been like that since I received it. I brought it up and the salesman said there was nothing they could do since it appeared to be a build defect. He offered to pass on this truck and wait for the next or take it as is. Since I heavily off-road it, I didn't care too much. Its the least of my worries now! haha.

Yep, you're right. These trucks are slapped together with gaps in body panels, bumpers misaligned, loose trim, etc. This is the new norm for Toyota.

My passenger side headlight has a quarter inch gap between itself and the quarter panel.
