2012 Steering wheel control illumination

Hello, I just purchased a 2012 Tacoma. It may seem pretty petty but I noticed that the steering wheel controls/buttons (i.e., audio, hands free) and window controls are pretty dim (when lights are turned on) at night. I know there is an light adjust know for the dashboard lighting.... Is this normal or is there a dim control to adjust the brightness?

Congrats on your 'new to you' truck! I have a 2012 as well, and I would say these steering wheel control lights aren't the brightest, but certainly should not be too dim either. It is safe to say there are other cars/trucks that may infact be much brighter than your truck now. For me they are good enough for me to see them clearly at night. Thanks for welcome! Yes they are not the brightest which made me intuitively think it can be adjusted but it seems it is permanent. Thanks for the input

 

I've never actually noticed how dim they are! LOL
