I haven't done that yet. I've only taken it to the local dealership a couple of times. I should probably contact Toyota directly.

Yep, call them and open a case. It is a super simple process.
I had to do this when I had an issue with the rear diff making noise that the dealer said was normal and all Tacomas had the same problem. I opened a case and about two weeks later, Toyota had my truck fixed.

You got a water leak somewhere man. Check behind back seat, check sunroof, under carpets, etc.

Can you flood the windshield / cowl vents to see if water enters the cab and replicates your observations?

You should also read your state's lemon law to see how many times you have to bring it in for the same problem (or how many out of service days) it takes before you can trigger the process. If it hasn't been in enough times, bring it back. A few years back I had an issue with a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee and a bad cylinder head. When they finally diagnosed the issue the head was on backorder, so I started the lemon law process officially (in FL you can start it after 15 out of service days). Amazing how the head showed up a couple of days after the manufacturer received the notification.

I've done that as well. I've run all the tests.

Escalated. I just called Toyota customer service. The guy I spoke with said he had heard of other people having this problem and sent my issue on up the chain. We'll see what happens.

Ive been given incorrect info a few times by a dealer saying problems I had are ‘normal’. That is definitely not normal.
A trip to a different dealer solved my problem on their first try.
