Hello TW. I am not very knowledgeable on this topic.
I recently removed this destroyed CV axle from my 2011 Tacoma 4wd. I had purchased a remanufactured Cv from a dealership and have now realized that the axles are different lengths.
There is a 2.5-inch lift on the truck that was done by the previous owner. I am not aware if old the CV axle is aftermarket, but I do need to find the same length one so the driver and passenger side match. I am replacing the passenger side. If anyone is aware of how to identify the old axle that would be super helpful.

I have added two photos below to show the difference in length and the axle I purchased from a dealership.

The same shit everyone else has.
Compress the old axle, they should be the same length.

Thanks Yall!. I'll toss the new one in.

Another silly question. A ton of oil came out when I removed the axle. Does anyone know what kind of oil that is?
