I've been looking a wheels for a while now. So much so that I have convinced myself in a circle about 3 times. :annoyed:

Anyway, while perusing my favorite wheels (17x8 Evo Corse DakarZeros ) on Main Line Overland's website, I came across the AEV Salta lineup. I'm a huge fan of the old AEV Pintlers for Jeep TJs and the AEV Salta HDs for Rams. Then I saw a link to AEV Salta XRs...HOLY CRAP! AEV makes a Salta wheel for 6 lug Toyotas. I Googled ferociously and searched TW with no luck.

Anyone run the Salta XR on a Tacoma? Or any Toyota? Can't find any pictures, not even on AEV's website. All I can find is pics of the Crestone DualSports.

Wheel Details: 17"×8.5" PCD 6×139.7 ET+5 Hub Bore 106.1mm 2,400 lbs load rating and requires 13/16″ ET lug nuts (pic below) made in Italy

Zero replies and zero google pics. I'll take that as no one runs them.

If I get some I'll post up my thoughts.

Finally purchased some new wheels...but not these. Went with some 17x8 Evo Course DakarZeros, matte black.

    Maybe next time.

My little brother works at AEV so I just pulled the trigger on them. We will be mounting them up with K02s and Bilstien 8000/8100 beginning of April. Pictures coming soon.

What a difference 255/75/17 on AEV Salta. No lift on it yet. Bilstien 8000’s are next . No rubbing to far.

I had the AEV Crestone made for the Tacoma and I loved the look and they were really well made. The wheels were like 35 lbs, though, and I believe the Salta has a similar weight.
