Speakers don't work

Hi. Yesterday while I was driving, my speakers stopped working. The radio, phone, even microphone all seem to work, but none of the radio functions make any noise from any source. You see the volume go up and down, the songs change, etc, just no noise, not even beeps when you push buttons. I checked both fuses in the engine compartment (I think those are the only radio fuses) and they're fine. Stock sound system. It is literally like someone just unplugged the speakers from a sound system. Any thoughts here? Thank you!!!

 

Mine is the same but the driver side speaker stopped working one day. Until the other speaker stops working I’m not worried.

 

Did you by any chance press the mode/hold button on the steering wheel while the radio was playing?

 

No, I was on a call when it happened. Basically, they just stopped. I thought the call dropped because it went silent. I called back and I didn't her it dial or ring, but they picked up and could hear me, and still silent on my end. Anyway, I toggled through everything this morning, including the mode/hold button.

 

Happened once on my ‘21. Took me a minute to notice right front door speaker out. I thought I screwed up install of the Kickers I swapped in, but they were in awhile. Sound came back a little later. Gotta be internal. Which unit u got, mine is base.

Has the head unit ever been pulled or unplugged in the history of the truck? Trying to eliminate the possibility of the wire harness spontaneously working loose.

 

Did you try to reset? Maybe go into settings and see if there is reset to factory settings? I think holding the power button down will reset.

 

Dunno if this applies to your truck.
