    Alright, you force my hand…

    If anyone read and was paying attention to post #1, they would have read that traveling and using the truck is what is most important to me. Having said that, this past Friday afternoon I got off work, threw the dog and bedroll into the Taco and headed for Death Valley.

    The Race Track was my objective as I have wanted to see it for the last 25+ years.

    Luckily it was payday so I didn’t have to mortgage the house to buy fuel… :mad:

    Over the hill I arrived at Eureka Valley.

    Over the next hill I found myself at Crankshaft Crossing.

    Seventy five miles in I found a sign which indicated that I was seventy five miles in.

    A bit further down the road I came across Teakettle Junction.

    Now I was getting close to the Race Track. Unfortunately there were numerous signs indicating that camping is not allowed near the Race Track. Oh well…

    Not wanting to break the park rules:rolleyes:, I headed south to look for a camp spot for the night. I headed down Lippincott Pass Road :eek: and was happy to reach the bottom as it got dark. I soon found a flat spot at the south end of Saline Valley and got a little sleep.

    I was up at first light and soon rolling. I passed by the hot springs and headed to Dedeckera Canyon and over Steele Pass.

    I soon found myself sneaking up on the Eureka Dunes. This put me an hour or so away from the house.

    The pupper and I took a break at the dunes, drove home, and lived happily ever after!
