Have OME 3" lift on 19 4x4 TRD sport. Freedom off road UCAs, black rhino wheels (17s +30), 1.25" wheel spacers. Figured I would go get fitted for some 285 70 17s (wild peaks). They hit the cab mount a lot deep in the tread once tire turns even half way. My question is how is it that some people clear with just some plastic trimming but I will have to do cab mount chop? ‍♂️ this is confusing me I will literally have to cut almost an inch back.

Lol who helped you with those wheels and spacers?
The further you push the tire and wheel away from the truck, the more you rub.
Or, cut, weld, beat and trim.

Backspacing and wheel spacers, brother. Want the wide look, do the wide look chopping.

Get OEM wheels with OEM backspacing and you’ll be better off.

I put them on for the wider stance running 265 70s just looked better. Don't like the tucked in look. Is that issue you think? If I ditch the spacer they will fit?

Same backspacing as OEM wheels +30. On difference is these are 9.5 wide and 1.25 spacers

They will fit much better but not all the way. You will still need to cut weld chop beat and trim but not as much.

    Wheel offset.
Believe it or not most guys who stance their trucks are rubbing on turns. But... they look good at the mall.

If it's important to you then that's your solution. You will also need to re box the cab mounts by welding a piece back in.
You will need to trim the plastic up front. You could need to hammer some firewall a bit too.
    Good luck and have fun!
Most people with serious stance just do a 6" lift up front so they don't have issues. But a 6" lift has problems of its own.

It's 100% the uppers control arms. I run 2" lift, -10mm offset wheels (like having a spacer), same tire size and stock UCAs. I completely clear the cab mount with multiple inches to spare. Those control arms add caster but pushes the tire into the firewall. If you had SPCs you could adjust the ball joint to the stock location, max out LCAs and then adjust camber with the SPCs. This will give lots of cab mount clearance and additional caster over stock arms.

Lots of reasons that add up. But mostly offset.

This is a top view of what higher offset does...
It puts more tire on the outside of the point on which your tires pivot.
The blue(stock) and green(higher offset) represent the different radii of the arcs the outside of the tire follows.
The larger radius creates a greater arc and thus more movement forward/backward in the wheel well.

The wheel is further set back because of UCAs.

Falkens run a 1/2" wider in tread width than other tires in the same size. More squared shoulder lug...

    You might have 'low' caster.

No one posts pics of their setup stuffed and cranked.

Either lose the spacers or chop it big time

1.25 inch spacers made my 265’s rub

    It’s the width + spacers. 17x9.5 plus 1.25 “ spacer is what you’re running ?

    Here’s 285/70 17 Wildpeaks on 17x8.5 et0 (4.75” bs) 1552s. OME lift also.

    No rubbing no CMC

Yeesh,,, that's a lot of work. I'm just Gunnar pay the 350 to have it chopped professional ly and never worry about it again. The UCAS didn't move forward or back. They are made to keep original specs and allow for lift. My spacer only brings it to about 14 offset. So at this point its spend a little and do original plan. Or spend a lot more to do same thing and not have the look I want‍♂️

    Like, so many.
I definitely had to chop. I’m 0 offset with 285s.
