Has anyone used a plasma cutter to remove the bottom of the boxed area of the frame?

What thickness did your plasma machine need to be able to cut to remove this part of frame?

If your plasma torch can handle 1/4" you should be good.

I don’t see the boxed section being any thicker than the C-Channel
I’d say you’ll be safe measuring the bottom of the C-Channel and going with that.

I’d be surprised if it’s more than 3/16?

Correct. You're not going to find anything on the frame over 1/4" other than the rear bumper support.

Also, if you're trying to determine the smallest plasma torch you can buy for this, you're going to be ultimately disappointed with your torch
