Hey everyone! I was taking apart my dash panel to install some new fog lights and I found three unused switch plugs. I found a couple threads about them but they were 10+ years old with little information on them so I figured I’d ask again. (Sorry if there is another thread answering this already) Does anyone know what these go to? Or how to find out?

    I have a 2006 SR5 Sport 4L 6cy double cab shortbed

I forget what all they are, but they are for options your truck doesn’t have.
I think I posted a few pics of what some of them were once. But I can not find the post.

Fog lights, Power inverter. Stability control ect.

FWIW, you can’t just add the button/switch and have the option.

The fog lights can be done if you have the connectors under the front bumper.
But you need fuses and a relay also.

If your prewired (which I believe most v6 trucks are) you can just add the lights, switch, fuse, and relay.
I'll have to look up the colors going to the fog light switch...

Thank y’all for the help! I don’t know how I missed that other thread. I’ll take a look at the wiring diagram to find what they lead to.

Yea the TW native search isn't too great, the google search box at the bottom of it works better.

Don’t take my word on it. But I think the green is for the Rear Diff lock. It’s been awhile since I looked at mine. I know I have an extra plug too. But it’s been a few years since I looked.

I don’t even bother with TW search
I use Google, then add “site:www.tacomaworld.com” after what I’m looking for.

That’s good to know! But I’m guessing because I have the sport model, even if the green plug is for a rear dif locker, there’s more work required than just plugging in a switch to use.

You need a whole different differential.
It’s not worth it. I’d go aftermarket before trying to make an OE work.
