Lol I do think my “approved stain” is ugly, but that’s not why I haven’t done it. Wanted to let the wood dry out last summer, and then didn’t want to stain it in the winter. So now I’ll do it some time this spring

Your reasoning is at least sound and reasonable. No doubt you have the skill, ability and experience to pass judgement on ugly stain and more. For sure you are trust worthy = unlike my neighbor - who thinks anything he pays to have done (which is everything) is justification for claiming he did the work himself. He does not own or know how to use a simple tool let-alone a paint brush.

any of you 3rd Gen DC owners replace your third brake light on the back of the cab? Got the recall but not going to let the stealer take a day to diagnose and ultimately replace- let alone wait a month to get it in to their shop. It seems easier to just get the part and do it myself = then send receipt to Toyota for parts reimbursement. No leaking but the housing does have a crack in it so one way or another it is time to replace it. Advice based on experience appreciated. TIA.

I remember our HOA in eastern Aurora. It was the most inconsistent group of Karens ever. Some board members were great, some peaked through their blinds all day. I had my little camper trailer in my driveway for a year (which is a no no) and never got reported. My neighbor left his trashcans out by the garage one day and got a letter he'd be fined. There was once a late spring freeze that killed a lot of the buds for some peoples trees that are required for the front yard. They sent out letters to everyone to replace the "dead" trees. No one did and just waited for them to bloom a few weeks later.

Should of stained my fence like this:

For $48/yr our HOA does a fine job keeping the mailboxes shoveled and staying out of peoples business.

Some are definitely worth it. We paid $80 for snow removal... and an ice cold dirty pool. Ours was managed by Mastino... go ahead and look them up haha. I think they've since got new management. Haven't heard any new horror stories from my old neighbor.

I got the recall a few months back but I had already replaced mine. Mine was cracked since I bought it new in 2016 but never leaked. I replaced mine with the Meso KC one but it was expensive. There aren't that many aftermarket ones out there.

Not yet but its a 2016 and hasnt leaked yet. I have a camper on the back that I cant take off without a forklift. They wanted to charge me some crazy amount of money to do it so I decided not to bother.

sounds on brand for the area

The HOA in my neighborhood had gone bankrupt and was never reformed so it was mostly city code issues to watch out for but they wouldn't bother to check if no one complained. I was on pretty good terms with the neighbors and they let me wrench on stuff in the driveway and park all the junk toyotas I wanted out front. I was "that neighbor" for sure  Not a single complaint, but we'd all BS regularly and help each other out with odds and ends, especially since most of them were older.

I guess the people who moved into my old house aren't so friendly and are tweakin 24/7. someone complained about them to the city of Centennial and I got a code compliance letter (they had me listed as a tenant?). They have a boat and an unregistered lambo kit car in the driveway LOL

Yeah its about 340lbs. I wish it was that easy. Coordinating four friends when you're all in your 30s with kids is like herding cats.

I sent an email to Kyle at White Rock Manufacturing Solutions which used to Pro-Tech that @dmurph1996 had used. https://www.whiterockmfg.com/
For front bumper and sliders they quoted $400, however they do not do any blasting and referred A1 Metal Stripping. I asked Kyle if he'd be willing to offer any type of discount for a larger order. Waiting to hear back, would anyone be interested?

    not my best work.
Customer broke the plastic crap off a cabinet key. I don't have blanks and not about to order any for something so menial.
    So I soldered a couple Lincoln's on.
Just need to drill a hole thru Lincoln's head.

Just give that penny the ole John Wilkes Booth treatment if you’re going to put a hole in Lincoln’s head.

So, what part's of Colorado are going up in flames this year?
    Should we start a pool?
Base it by county or by national forest?

In other news, pulled some mystery meat out of the freezer today.
Might be brats, or maybe Italian sausage. Either way, it's getting grilled and wrapped in a bun. Prolly some cheese involved as well.
