    Look and see.....
Deposit was placed at the beginning of December. Finally able to pick it up 4/2/22.
    I traded my '21 TRD OR for a '22 TRD OR 6MT and I couldn't be happier.
Gotta get my bumper put on the new one along with some hood struts. Got a couple more plans happening soon.
    .......well, more like 10 plans.

I promise both pics are 2 different trucks. Haha

Nice! Why did you trade the '21 though? Did you get a great deal?

Congratulations! So I'm guessing the '21 was an AT?

Did you have MT before the '21?

When I went on the search for a '22, my one non-negotiable was MT. It took me a bit longer than normal (but not unreasonably long) and now I have a '22 Barcelona Red Sport DCSB MT! Couldn't be happier!

    None yet.....

Same. MT or nothing. As of now my '22 Sport MT will arrive between 4/27 and 5/2, so I'm getting restless.

OP, I'm jealous of your Army Green. That was the color I wanted, but it was either take the sure thing on a White one, or wait....and wait.....and maybe find one.

The '21 was an auto, i was impatient when getting out from under another vehicle that I didn't want to wait for a manual at the time. I've been driving manual for over 20 years but I come from turbo'd subarus. I was well aware before this truck that the experience is going to be different between performance car to truck but I don't care. I must have gear rowing in my life. Lol

The '21 was an auto and I was growing regretful of not waiting for a manual that I decided to put a deposit down and wait. All said and done it ended up being more or less a straight across trade and I gained premium package, sunroof, and MTM so it worked out heavily in my favor.

I got some plans in the works but am gonna wait to announce till it's a sure thing. I have bad luck with things not working out after I put it out there in the universe. Lol
Probably gonna ADM at some point but as of now, I'm not in a hurry for it, I can put up with the quirkiness of it for now. Lol

That tranny is a big reason why I changed. Even after tuning, it still gear hunted more than I could put up with.

You might want to get the tune before you change gears. You will be totally amazed at the changes that the tune makes in the transmission shifting. I got the KD Max Pro + tune. I think the problem is more the way Toyota tunes the tranny than the transmission itself.

My auto was stock and it hunted for gears in cruise control badly, while my foot could hold the single gear no problem. I had KDMax Pro tune as well and while it helped a lot, for me it didn't solve the issue. All other aspects of the tune were fantastic though. I think that transmission/trans tune is the Tacomas Achilles heal.

Congratulations. There's nothing better than having a manual, weight savings and good on gas

Nice. Very nice. You gonna look good in that thing too.

If I were a younger man I'd have stayed in the MT world but after 40+ years especially in slow-and-go-traffic I'm totally fine with the AT... although sometimes I do find myself moving my left foot to the non-existent clutch LOL... that will fade in time. This 'gear-hunting' issue is a simple matter of driving smooth as a babies behind and not jerking the gas pedal around... at least it is for me.

The way I see it is this is probably the last year, if not close to the last year, that the manual will be available so I'll let this be my last hoorah that hopefully lasts a while then I'll go auto. Haha

Yeah when the 4th Gen comes out in 24 unfortunately expect it not to have a MT option.

I'm jealous of the Army Green, black was my third choice color. But, the premium package with a moon roof was a hard no for me, so I took a black truck to avoid the moon roof and save a few grand.

MT was of course a requirement. Accumulator delete, 460 g shift knob, and a VR tune all improved it. The ADM was by far the biggest improvement, and the cheapest.
