$700-800 for UCAs is dumb and price gouging. Prove me wrong

The cost of the initial R&D

Tooling costs a lot. Materials supply costs a lot.

Keeping shop open to make more of said item costs a lot.

After R&D is covered, yes the remainder pays bills, employees, etc. while the remainder becomes profit.

You treat profit as if it's a dirty word. :burp:

I wouldnt call geometry “modern engineering”

UCAs are made with a guy and a welder.

Ask your favorite fab shop to make you some UCAs. I’m curious what they say.

You think the markup on UCAs is bad. Costco upped the price of their pre-cooked chicken skewers from $9.49 to $16.49!!! What is this world coming to when a man is forced to cook his chicken himself? :stirthepot:

OP, the SPC's being that expensive I totally agree with. That's why I bought uniballs. At least I know I can't make them in my garage.

But it's the demand in a lot of cases.
