Anyone ever put a cap meant for first gen on your 2nd gen?
If so how'd it fit/look? Any insight appreciated, having trouble finding a gen 2 specific cap.

1st gen cap won’t fit 2nd gen. If by some miracle it does will look silly. Keep looking and one will turn up eventually.

They "fit" but yes they look silly. They are narrower than 2nd gen beds

I fit the Mountain Top (Denmark) aluminum checkerplate tonneau from my Gen 1 onto my Gen 2. It fits, barely, and took some real creativity to pull off. I really like that tonneau so it was worth it to me.

The main things were (1) using KB Voodoo's bed rails to make a mostly-level perimeter, compared to the goofy high-sided plastic caps on the OEM Gen 2s, and (2) adapting the clamp design from the original tonneau mount to work with the C-channel rails on the Gen 2.

One might be able to mount a Gen 1 cap, but I'd advise looking really hard at how you're gonna do it.
