It is a shame that being stupid isn't more painful.

A worker come to me asking about installing a new electric water heater. I told him to make sure it was completely full before turning the power on or the elements would burn out immediately.

    Following Monday:

Worker: We got the water heater in but had to change the elements right away.
Rusty: Did you turn the power on before it was full?
W: It was almost 1/2 full.
R: Didn't I tell you not to do that?
    W: Yeah.
R: Wasn't there a sticker over the electric box telling you that too?
    W: Yeah..
    R: Well???
W: We were in a hurry for the hot water...

R: (unspoken) You are a :censored: idiot...

In factories everyone comes to the Maintenance shop for advice.

Some folks will listen carefully and do just as you say, it is fun to help them learn and grow -- then there are guys like him who just use up oxygen that someone with a brain might need later. :smack:

Happy Thursdy Creed & Crew, yall get on up and make a difference somewhere. Like we always say, "it's negative, but it's a difference all right"

Reading the unchained 5150 thread tears at your heart and reminds us to throw a kind word in and suprise somebody on occasion, you don't know what's bouncing around in somebody's head.

Good Thursday morning friends! Hope everyone has an awesome day :hattip:

@Cooldood thinking about your hiking pot guess, I should have revealed what it was then and didn’t think other people may call things differently than others.

I guess you win the prize of nothing, too

The newer technicians here will ask 10 different people the same question, then try the one answer that involves the least amount of physical labor possible. I had one the other day ask me what I thought was wrong with an injector, I said let's check the positions first. While checking these I seen that the syringe was too far up in the bottom guide, told him how to fix it, offered to help right then, he said he would do it later. He came back 4 hours later and said it bent another syringe and he needed help.

Had to replace the battery in the clock, it’s a shop clock. Can it be used in a garage too?
