How strange to have truck talk on this thread.

I've been trying to wear out the shitty Chinese Westlake tires that were on my truck when I bought it.
Worst tire ever in the snow.
So despite me being one cheap sumbitch, I'm about ready to capitulate.

What's a decent all season tire that will give me good mileage and that's fairly good in snow?
One that ain't Chinese or too 'spensive?
(My days of going offroad and looking for trouble are over).

 

Yeah, it's wet and dreary alright.
But it certainly does make everything green.
Green like Ireland...until the end of June.

Winter wheat is coming up now and that's a particularly vivid shade of green.

 

I’ve always been a fan of BF Goodrich and Michelin.

 

That's what I was thinking.
Mrs Gritto's Highlander has B.F. Goodrich tires on it and it's quite good in snow.
Of course, the AWD is a big factor.

The afformentioned Nokian Rotiiva and Outpost tires are great. They both have 50k or 60k wear rating and are a snow rated AT tire. Nokian is a Swedish company, btw, so they know their snow tires.

 

Every time I see Nokian, I think of Nokia and the first cell phone I ever had.

 

Oh also the Rotiivas are low rolling resistance, 3 peak mountain snowflake rated, they are reinforced with a material like kevlar, and not to expensive. They are the only tire manufacturer with a privately owned winter test track.
